"The Family Online Safety Institute applauds the British government for taking a proactive, zero tolerance approach to child sexual abuse material on the Internet and we welcome these measures from industry to help keep kids safe online. We must keep in mind, that this is a global problem and we need international cooperation across all sectors to combat these crimes. We also must be careful not to conflate and confuse illegal content such as illegal child sexual abuse material with legal adult content that some may find objectionable. The more information we can provide parents about appropriate parental controls and responsible online behavior, the more success we will have in helping our kids become empowered, informed digital citizens."
