Your tween is likely accessing technology independent of you or their teacher. While you can't be hovering over them and their screens all day, you can set online rules for your family. Talk to your tween about the responsibilities that come with access to cyberspace. If you are about to give your tween a cell phone, make sure you arm them with safety advice and set the rules upfront.
