Overview
FOSI launched the new Global Resource & Information Directory (GRID) in London on May 10th. The launch took place at an evening reception in the House of Lords, hosted by Baroness Joanna Shields, UK Minister for Internet Safety & Security, with remarks from Karen Bradley, Minister for Preventing Abuse, Exploitation and Crime.
Also speaking was Jacqueline Beauchere, Chief Online Safety Officer at Microsoft and Clara Sommarin, Child Protection Specialist, Exploitation and Violence for UNICEF.
The new GRID project was undertaken with the support of UNICEF as part of the "Global Program to build capacity to tackle online child exploitation." New, expanded site data will align with UNICEF program goals, including content on each country page to outline efforts in combating child sexual abuse material online, as well as a dedicated space to track the activity of the WePROTECT Global Alliance to End Online Child Sexual Exploitation.
