Adrian Boafo

Delegate, State of Maryland

Adrian was first elected in 2019 as the youngest Mayor Pro Tem and District 3 Council Member in Bowie, where he helped launch a public safety camera rebate program with the Bowie Police Department and secured $2 million in federal funding to upgrade Old Bowie’s water infrastructure. He also served on the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board.
In 2022, Adrian was elected to represent District 23 in the Maryland House of Delegates. In his first two years, he delivered $26 million back to the district, awarded more than $111,000 in scholarships to local students, sponsored six bills that passed in the House, and voted on more than 1,800 pieces of legislation advancing economic opportunity, youth mental health, housing equity, tobacco reduction efforts, and climate action.

Adrian currently serves as Assistant Majority Leader and Chair of the Education Subcommittee in the Prince George’s County Delegation, and is a member of the Economic Matters Committee.

A graduate of the University of Baltimore (Government & Public Policy) and American University’s Kogod School of Business (MBA), Adrian previously worked on Capitol Hill and served as Campaign Manager for Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. He is now Senior Director of Government Affairs at Oracle.
