President, ATKM

Arda Gerkens is President of the Authority for the prevention of online Terrorist Content and Child Sexual Abuse Material (ATKM). She was President of Offlimits, the Dutch helpline for harmful content and hotline for CSAM, for over eihhts years. She has server 8 years in Parliament and 10 years in the Senate of which she was Vice – President. She operates at the intersection of the digital world and society. During her political career and afterwards, she has been committed to a safe online environment balancing human right. Her special attention is paid to online child safety and online child sexual abuse.
