Aurelia Voltairine

Digital Safety Fellow, Family Online Safety Institute

Aurelia Voltairine is the Digital Safety Fellow at the Family Online Safety Institute. She is currently a student at the RAND School of Public Policy in the Master of Tech Policy program specializing in AI, Cybersecurity, and National Security policy. 

Her former experiences as an AI Policy Analyst Researcher at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), Trust, Data, & Technology Policy Fellow at the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), and AI Ethics Consultant with Congressional offices informs her work at the intersection of AI, digital safety, privacy policy, and the proper disclosure of emerging technologies in the education-technology space. These experiences prepared Aurelia to craft non-partisan policies, research materials, and advocacy projects that can inform and guide various organizations to effective digital governance. 

Her goals at FOSI are to strengthen her skills in the digital safety space, connect with like-minded professionals, and to ensure an equitable and safe online environment for families, young adults, children, and everyday people.

Aurelia has also studied Economics & Sociology at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and she holds two associate degrees from Johnson County Community College: Associate of Science in General Sciences and Technology Studies & Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts.
