Catherine Teitelbaum has spent over 25 years working at the intersection of technology, child safety, and public policy. After leading global Trust & Safety teams at Yahoo, she joined Amazon eight years ago — first leading safety at Twitch, and now serving as Head of Responsible AI for Youth: Policy & Strategic Partnerships within Amazon Devices & Services. She leads the ethical frameworks and safety guardrails for AI-driven experiences across Amazon Kids and Alexa, ensuring that generative AI is designed with children’s developmental needs at the center — not as an afterthought. She partners with academics, child development researchers, and civil society organizations to advance age-appropriate design and translate child safety principles into operational practice at scale. With a background in education, she is dedicated to building technology that empowers the next generation, not just engages them.
