Dawit Kahsai is Pinterest’s Senior Public Policy Lead for the US. He leads policy strategy across the federal and state governments – shaping legislative priorities, directing regulatory engagement, and cultivating strategic partnerships with government, industry, and civil society to advance responsible technology policy.
Previously, he led federal and state advocacy on technology, telecommunications, broadband, and consumer protection at AARP for 18 years, securing major legislative wins on broadband deployment, affordability, digital skills, fraud prevention, and robocall regulations, including the successful transition of the Emergency Broadband Benefit into the Affordable Connectivity Program. During his tenure, he worked closely with Congress, FCC, NTIA, and FTC, and built broad coalitions with industry and civil-society partners to expand access and enhance online security for millions of consumers.
