Mary K. Alvord, Ph.D. is a psychologist and director of Alvord, Baker & Associates, LLC in Maryland.  She served as President of APA Division 46, Society of Media Psychology and Technology in 2013. She has been active in promoting internet safety and telehealth for almost 2 decades. In 2016, she founded a charity, Resilience Across Borders, Inc. with a mission to promote youth mental health. Most recently, she served as a member of the American Psychologist Association’s Expert Panel on Social Media and Teens. She is co-author of Conquer Negative Thinking for Teens, Resilience Builder Program, and forthcoming Action Mindset Workbook for Teens.
