Janiya Garner

Community Technology Fellow, Family Online Safety Institute

Janiya Garner is FOSI’s Chicago Community Technology Fellow. She is a first-year Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction student at DePaul University. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from DePaul. With experience in software engineering, user experience, and community leadership, Janiya is passionate about using technology to create accessible, meaningful experiences. At FOSI, she is excited to promote digital literacy and help create safer online spaces for children and families.
