Jeffrey DeMarco is a leading expert in online child protection, digital safety and trauma-informed systems, working at the intersection of psychology, technology and children’s rights. He is the Senior Technical Advisor on Digital Child Protection at Save the Children, where he leads work on online harms, AI safety and wellbeing in online spaces. He has contributed to international efforts addressing online child sexual exploitation and abuse and advises on ethical AI, moderation systems and psychological safety for law enforcement and Trust & Safety professionals, with a particular focus on the wellbeing of those exposed to traumagenic content. With a background in forensic and criminal psychology, he brings both academic and applied expertise to advancing child-centred and evidence-based approaches to digital safety and wellbeing.
