Jonny Shipp is an independent strategy consultant who works with international organisations to help them anticipate and navigate emerging digital policies and regulations.
Jonny facilitates the Digital Trust & Safety Partnership’s working group on Out-of-court Dispute Settlement under the EU Digital Services Act. He is accredited as a mediator in civil and commercial matters by the Federal Mediation Commission in Belgium, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
From 2003 – 2017 he held leadership roles at Telefónica, where he pioneered approaches to corporate digital responsibility and served for six years as the Industry Vice-Chair of the Internet Watch Foundation. In 2017, as a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Media & Communications at LSE he launched the Internet Commission, becoming its Executive Chair until it was acquired by the Trust Alliance Group in 2022.
