LaMont D. Walker is an attorney in Microsoft’s Legal & Corporate Affairs group supporting its online search services product, Bing. In this role, Mr. Walker is responsible for legal support of all aspects (domestic and global) of Bing’s efforts to respond to external requests to moderate or block content accessible via Bing for legal or other reasons as well as implementation of Bing’s online safety strategy, including cross-company policy creation and implementation. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, Mr. Walker is also responsible for responding to Bing-related regulatory, human rights, governmental or media inquiries across subject matters such as copyright infringement, defamation, child porn, hate speech, extremist material, privacy, government censorship as well as supporting Microsoft’s defense in litigation matters. Mr. Walker has spent more than 6 years with Microsoft. Before joining Microsoft in December 2008, Mr. Walker began his career as a litigator and has previously worked as an attorney for AT&T and Dell Inc. in various roles.
