Maya Canady is a Chicago Community Technology Fellow at the Family Online Safety Institute. She is a Master of Science in Technology, People, and Policy candidate in Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy, where she focuses on AI ethics and technology governance.
She brings experience in technology policy from multiple organizations, and is passionate about applying research into community-based work. In her role at FOSI, she delivers data-driven AI safety and digital citizenship programming in Chicago. She also holds a BA in Sociology and Political Science from Emory University.
