Mike Jackson

GM and Head of AI Governance, Legal, and Interim Chief Digital Safety Officer, Microsoft Corporation

Mike Jackson is GM and Head of AI Governance and AI Legal and serves as Microsoft’s Interim Chief Digital Safety Officer. His team helps build global trust in Microsoft’s technology by protecting people from harmful and illegal online content and by ensuring Microsoft’s AI experiences include safeguards for vulnerable users, including children and youth. Before assuming this role, Mike held executive positions spanning regulatory compliance, global investigations, and support for Microsoft’s commercial and technical teams.

Before joining Microsoft, Mike led teams at Fortune 500 companies such as Target and The J.M. Smucker Company. Mike serves on the advisory board of several organizations focused driving societal good through law and technology including the Human AI Advisory Council, a multidisciplinary group focused on advancing responsible AI adoption and innovation. Mike is a regular contributor to the MIT Sloan Management Review and serves on the board of several legal organizations.
