Teen Fact-Checker, MediaWise

Pride David is a senior media communications major at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. She is a teen fact-checker for MediaWise’s teen fact-checking network and creates social media content debunking misinformation online and teaching others how to doit too. She has also been on the WNET group’s “Take on Fake” series and Nickelodeon’s “Nick News” to discuss meme misinformation and an explainer for media literacy terminology. Pride hopes to make media literacy more accessible for everyone to learn and pursue a career in journalism and video production.
