Sarah Scheffler

Assistant professor, Carnegie Mellon University

Sarah Scheffler is an Assistant Professor in CyLab, Carnegie Mellon University’s Security and Privacy Institute, with appointments in the Engineering and Public Policy Department and the School of Computer Science. Her research centers on applied cryptography and its intersection with policy and law, including privacy in age verification and digital ID systems. Prior to joining CMU she obtained her Ph.D. in computer science from Boston University and held postdoctoral positions at MIT and Princeton.
