Dr Seaneen Sloan is Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the School of Education at University College Dublin, where she also serves as Director of the Centre for the Advancement of Wellbeing in Education. With an interdisciplinary background and over 20 years experience in child wellbeing research, her work focuses on generating robust, policy-relevant evidence to better understand and improve children’s lives across educational, social, and digital contexts.
Dr Sloan is Co-Director of GUIDE (Growing Up in Digital Europe), Europe’s first comparative cohort study of children and young people’s wellbeing and development, involving a network of 30 countries and recognised on the ESFRI Roadmap as a flagship European research infrastructure initiative. At UCD, Dr Sloan leads the GUIDE Central Hub, overseeing the project’s scientific coordination, governance, operations, and methodological innovation.
