Brent joined Tencent in 2010. He currently oversees all legal matters, including intellectual property, litigation, privacy, compliance, and public policy. Prior to joining Tencent, he was an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, specializing in M&A and technology transactions, with a special emphasis on Internet companies. He received a JD from Stanford Law School, an MA in Asian Studies from Yale University, and a BA in History from Carleton College.
